Santa Baby!

Barrett met Santa for the first time this year! We were shopping around Washington Square Mall and when we walked by Santa there was no line so we thought, "why not?"
Bear was ok at first then started to whine, but Santa must know how to tame the young ones cause he pulled out the candy cane and Bear was ok again- such a boy... the way to his heart is through food! =)

Look Mama... I want to WALK!!!!

So our little man has started walking and he thought that today he would just go for it! Up til now he's only taken like 3-4 steps, but today he was charging it! It was sooo funny because he had a starting point and would always go back to that area after he fell.

This is one of my most favorite photos of Barrett! He climbed into his toy bin and was sitting in there playing with his toys and reading books. I just love it! It says so much about his personality! He was being so goofy. His wild-man hair is almost down to his shoulders when it's wet. I still can't bring myself to cut off those curls though!

Here's our big boy at Bi-Zi Farm Pumpkin Patch! He thought the little tractor was the coolest thing and kept driving the wheel and laughing! He could have cared less about the pumpkins, but he loved the bumpy tractor ride up to the pumpkin patch! It seems anything that makes a vrrrroooommmm noise and has wheels is amazingly interesting to Bear! He's such a boy!

Scotty and Barrett dressed up "in tuxedos" for Elise's 30th birthday! Lately, Bear has been acting silly by putting his his head to one side and laughing. Daddy thought he'd mimic the boy and be silly too!

Barrett's 1st Boot-Scootin Birthday!

We had such a great time celebrating Bear's 1st Birthday! I think we'll remember it more than he, but what a memory it was!!! We borrowed Trigger, the pony, from a neighbor and all the kids took turns riding him! We had a gold hunt and good ole' chili and cornbread! Bear LOVED his birthday boot cake and started stuffing the cake all over his face! We such a great time and Bear got lots of wonderful gifts! His favorite being "Mater" the toy tow-truck!

Labor Day Trip to Lincoln City Beach

For labor day, my whole family rents a house at Lincoln City for a big reunion get away. Last year I was pregnant and this year we got to bring our big man! We had a great time with the fam and Barrett loved putting his feeties in the ocean!

August Fun Times!

The Clark County Fair 2008!!!

We went to the good ole' Clark County Fair and had a blast! At first, Scotty didn't feel much like going, but once we got there he had fun! We saw the lambs and goats, the big horses, llamas, rides, games, doggies, etc. And of course we people watched!!!! I went on my first large (well as large as the Clark County Fair could have) rollercoaster. I was super nervous and kept feeling like I was going to lose it! As soon as we got to the top, getting ready to go down the big drop, I told Scott to stop the ride and that I couldn't do it. He was sweet and let me death grip his arm as there was nothing we could do at that point. It wasn't too bad... well not as bad as I thought it would be. Scotty and Heather tried to get me to go on the Zipper and I said NOOOooo wayyyy!!! When they got off the ride neither of them could walk straight. It was a crack-up!

Barrett tried his first swing! He absolutely loved it and cracked up the whole time! We had so much fun hanging out at the park and watching Bear play.

This is my favorite pick of Bear playing! It totally captures his big smile and how he scruntches his face when he laughs. And of course his wild, hockey hair! =)

This was a cake I made for Addison Angel. She turned one while her fam was visiting. Poor thing... there was so much food coloring in there, it probably didn't even taste good! =)

Finally...some updates!

Our little boo is growing up! Here is a video, finally, to show just what's been going on! Recent Barrett updates include: beginning to crawl, pulling himself up, babbling new sounds, losing his temper, and much more!

Scott and I are still working at the clinic Mon, Wed and Fri. It is going great and we are having fun growing our business.
We took the 4th of July off and went camping for the weekend with our good friends Ryan and Heather. It was loads of fun and RV was right on the river. We found a raft on craigslist and tried it out... well the boys tried it out! Consequently, using the oars to bat rocks into the river wasn't such a great idea and they ended up getting huge holes in them! But... the boys made it home well enough.

Memorial Day Project

This Memorial Day we decided to put in a long-wanted patio cover. We started early in the day and finished later that night. We are super excited about how it turned out!
Barrett loved watching the boys use the power tools-- especially the nail gun! He hung out in his walker and just stared at the boys building the patio all day!

Camping at Lewis River

We went camping on the Lewis River with our 2 boys (Baggins and Barrett) this last weekend and we had a blast! The little RV park where we stayed is right on the Lewis River. It's a great little diamond in the rough! We played in the river, went for walks, and took a short trip down to see Lake Merwin! You can see that our view from the dinner table is a fabulous river scene. We feel so lucky to be able to take Mark and Kathy's RV out-- especially when it has air conditioning in this scorching heat!

Mother's Day Fun!

We celebrated Mother's Day this year at the country club with my folks! It was super fun and we all ate tons from the buffett! Barrett is teething like crazy and just popped out the tip of a toofer. =)

We had to show our other baby.... Baggins.... and how sweet he is with Barrett. Barrett loves grabbing his soft ears and pulling on them and good 'ole Baggins just gives him kisses! =) He's just a big 'ole lover doggie!
